HSQE Policy Statement

As Managing Director I am committed to ensuring the effective health, safety, quality and 
environmental performance of Nu City Civils Limited (NCC) and have overall responsibility for health, 
safety, quality and environmental matters. We are all required to accept responsibility for our actions, 
to safeguard our own health, safety and working environment and that of third parties who may be 
affected by our activities.

 
NU City Civils Limited Policy is to provide a professional service delivered by competent safetyconscious staff to fulfil our contractual obligations, exceed customer expectations and ensure that 
health, safety and environmental risks from our activities are identified, assessed and effectively 
managed. 


Pursuant to this Policy we shall:
• Comply with current and applicable legislation and standards
• Provide suitable and sufficient resources to comply with our health, safety, quality and 
environmental duties
• Regularly assess safety risk and environmental aspects and impacts associated with Company 
activities
• Set SMART objectives with the aim of continual improvement and review 
• Monitor, manage and prevent accidents, injury and instances of occupational ill health
• Include health, safety, quality and environmental considerations in investment decisions
• Continually strive to reduce the number of accidents/incidents within our workplace 
• Employ waste minimisation techniques
• Encourage staff involvement through communication, consultation, participation and cooperation
• Provide suitable and sufficient Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Manage Occupational Road Risk (MORR) associated with our Drivers and Vehicle Fleet
• Identify competence requirements and achieve and maintain competence through training and 
development
• Identify threats of pollution from our activities and ensure they are prevented and effectively 
managed


The Company maintains HSQE management systems based on the principles of the following 
standards ISO45001:2018, ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, and is focussed on continual 
improvement of our services to both our internal and external customers.


We will provide opportunity to provide input to policies and procedures in accordance with our 
consultation procedure and following consultation shall be effectively communicated throughout the 
organisation, to members of the public and other interested parties on request using appropriate 
media. 


This Policy will be reviewed at least annually or where instigated by changes to legislation, standards, 
organisation activities or events associated with such activities to ensure it meets the nature, scale 
and relevance to the company activities.
